House Re-Piping Services

Have you ever noticed black water come out of your faucets? If so, you should really consider having your house pipes inspected. Often what happens when your pipes get really old and rusty, is they will start to fall apart on the inside and give off black sediment that is found in almost every faucet in the house.

Here at Rusty Duck Plumbing, we have been specializing in whole-house repiping services in Sacramento for over 20 years now. We have done repiping plumbing services for houses(especially the older Sacramento city ones), hotels, restaurants, and much more. So if you think you have some bad pipes, call us today and we will be happy to take a look. 🙂

Our repiping services

As a plumber in Sacramento, we have been faced with many repiping jobs. Sometimes it is only a small portion that needs to be replaced, often times, it’s the entire house that needs new pipes installed. Here are some common pipe materials we use when repiping a house:

  1. Pex: our favorite because it is easy to work with and lasts long… it’s cheaper too.
  2. Copper: Better water, but is really expensive and needs more demolition to install. Will also last a really long time.
  3. CPVC: it’s cool, but we usually never install it.

If you’re not sure what kind of pipes you need installed, simply call us today and we’ll go over your options.

Our whole house repiping process

When you come to us to repipe your home, there are several things we do to deliver what you need in the fastest time available.

  1. Repipe consultation: We just go over the current state of the home, your options, and what your requirements are.
  2. When we start the repiping process and you still want to live in the home, we’ll go from the main water line and room by room, and replace all the pipes so that you can still use the water when you need it.
  3. After the repipe is completed, there will be holes in the walls that will need repair, but we have partners that can help at affordable rates.

What causes pipes to go bad?

Oftentimes, the degradation process starts with a bad water heater shooting sediment into the pipes and out the faucets. With the extra sediment and water pressure acting as sandpaper, your pipes can start to leak and burst a lot faster if you have a bad water heater.

The process is almost inevitable after the house is more than 80 years old (which many are in the Old Sacramento area) and will need replacement. Simply call us to go over your options and we would be glad to help.
